In a private, mainly residential complex accessed by a pedestrian pathway from the adjacent road where parking is available.

Children allowed, no pets allowed.
Access for elderly / disabled / wheelchair users – 3 steps up to front door level from adjacent path. Entire apartment on one level. Therefore suitable for elderly people with no walking problems and possibly for disabled or narrow wheelchair users if steps can be negotiated.
Although the sofabed allows more than 4 people to sleep in the house, the owner prefers a maximum of 4 people if possible.
Beach towels not included.

DESCRIPTION OF THE LOCAL AREA

Playa Flamenca is less than a 10 minutes drive south of Torrevieja. It has a very multi-cultural feel as many people from other countries now live in this area and actually outnumber the Spaniards! This area is a favourite for British and Irish ex-pats. Consequently, the shops, bars and restaurants in this area originate from many nationalities to provide food to suit all tastes - from the native Spanish to Italian, French, German, Chinese, Indian, Korean, Scandinavian, Argentinean, Hungarian, Mexican cuisine, etc.

This complex is also close to the boundary for La Florida, so the facilities of that area are easily available.

10 minutes walk from the renowned Irish pub the Abbey Tavern (www.theabbeytavern.com), which normally stays open until 3 or 4 in the morning most of the year and has nightly entertainment, beer garden, large tv, pool, darts, internet computers and children's play area, and other facilities in the La Florida commercial area (supermarket, bars, Chinese and other restaurants, bank, car hire, hairdressers, etc).

Less than 10 minutes walk from 2 new commercial centres currently under construction (February 2007) which will contain a range of bars and restaurants.

10 minutes walk from Consum, Aldi and Carrefour supermarket (Playa de Orihuela); smaller version of the hypermarket in Torrevieja.

15 minutes walk from the Emerald Isle Irish entertainment centre in La Florida. It has two swimming pools surrounded by large grassed sunbathing areas. You can sit and relax around the pool all day (small cost for hire of sunbeds and use of pools). There are children's play areas with the ball park and bouncy castle available for a small cost. The restaurant and bar are open all day serving hot/cold food either inside or outdoors. There is nightly outdoor entertainment in the summer. There are daily activities such as aerobics (in the pool when warm enough), Tai Chi classes, line dancing, scuba diving lessons, bingo, etc

15 minute walk from Flamenca Beach Commercial Centre with the Lansdowne bar, Rosie O'Grady's, the Blues Brothers, Divas Indian restaurant, Spud Murphies and 3 floors of bars and restaurants. Nearby are supermarkets such as Lidl and Supercor - the "Harrods" food hall of Spain.

15 minutes walk to the Celtic Isle Irish entertainment centre with own swimming pool, bars and restaurant and also the popular Saturday morning market.

20 minutes walk from Via Park 1, Via Park 2, Via Park 3 commercial centres.

Nearby bus service into Torrevieja town or various taxi ranks throughout the area.

700 metres to the cliffs by Lidl or Carrefour. 1 km to the beach at Punta Prima or 1.5 km to the beach at Playa Flamenca. The EU Blue Flag beaches at Playa Flamenca and La Zenia have vast expanses of golden sands and there are jet-ski's, a banana boat and pedalo's in the summer months, as well as the usual "bars on the beach".

10 minutes drive, or 7 km to Torrevieja town centre, marina, harbour, Carrefour, Habernas shopping centre (H&M, C&A, Zara, etc), McDonalds, ten pin bowling, casino, etc.

It is only a 10 minutes drive to golf courses of Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas.

Bus service between urbanisations and the beach. Only around 1 euro per person getting on or off anywhere on the route. Ideal if you don't want to drive on holiday.
