An older style of property in a predominantly Spanish area on the southern outskirts of Torrevieja. South-west facing. 2.5 km to town centre, marina, cinema, bowling, etc. 5 minute walk to the beach. 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive to Torrevieja town centre.

Lounge/dining area, Spanish station TV, DVD player. 2 bedrooms, one with double bed, one with twin beds. American style kitchen. Bathroom. Terrace with extendable canopy. Large communal pool (in use June to September). Hot and cold air conditioning in the lounge. Ceiling fan in lounge and portable fans for both bedrooms. Secure gated complex.

Bathroom with bath/shower, toilet and bidet, wash hand basin, mirror.
Terrace with extendable canopy, patio table and 4 chairs facing directly onto the large communal pool (approx. 3 metres away!). pool shuts for afternoon siesta.
Ceiling fan in lounge and portable fans for both bedrooms.
Electric heaters.
Security via window bars, window blinds. Security gates into complex and pool area.
Parking in quiet road outside.

Children allowed, no pets allowed.
Access for elderly / disabled / wheelchair users – 2 steps up to apartment front door area. Entire apartment on one level. Therefore suitable for elderly people with no walking problems and possibly for disabled or narrow wheelchair users if steps can be negotiated.
Beach towels not included.
Unfortunately it is not possible to have a barbeque at the property because of community rules or because it could spoil the appearance of the building from the smoke.

DESCRIPTION OF THE LOCAL AREA

5 minute walk from supermarket, bars, restaurants, etc, and main bus route into town and hence to the marina, promenade, harbour fun fair, nightly craft market or to the outskirts where you will find Carrefour hypermarket, Habernas shopping centre (H&M, C&A, Zara, Bershka, etc), McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, ten pin bowling, amusement arcade, casino, etc.

20 minutes walk (or 5 minutes by car) to the start of the "European" area at Punta Prima with numerous bars and restaurants of different nationalities, supermarkets such as Aldi, MasyMas, Champion and after 2 more minutes drive, the Flamenca Beach Commercial Centre, the largest in the area with about 60 bars and restaurants, Lidl and Supercor supermarkets and the go-kart track. There is a popular market on every Saturday morning in a wide road in Playa Flamenca.

5 minutes walk to the sea (rocky coastline) and a further 5 minutes walk to Calle Ferris, a nearby sandy cove with palm trees.

In the direction of Torrevieja, 10 minutes walk (or 2 minutes by car) to the EU Blue Flag beaches of Playa de Los Naufragos followed by Playa del Acequion. Water sports and diving pontoon in the summer months plus the usual "bars on the beach".

30 minute walk or 5 minute drive to Torrevieja town centre.

In the opposite direction from Torrevieja, into the "European" area known as Orihuela Costa, 30 to 40 minutes walk (or 5 minutes by car) to the EU Blue Flag beaches at Playa Flamenca and La Zenia. They have vast expanses of golden sands and there are jet-ski's, a banana boat and pedalo's in the summer months, as well as the usual "bars on the beach".
