Access for elderly / disabled / wheelchair users – front door on first floor level via lift. Entire apartment on one level. Shower tray in ensuite. Therefore suitable for elderly people, disabled or small wheelchair users.
Beach towels not included.
Unfortunately it is not possible to have a barbeque at the property because of community rules or because it could spoil the appearance of the building from the smoke.

DESCRIPTION OF THE LOCAL AREA

La Horizonte / Playa Flamenca, in the area of Orihuela Costa, is less than a 10 minutes drive south of Torrevieja. It has a very multi-cultural feel as many people from other countries now live in this area and actually outnumber the Spaniards! This area is a favourite for British and Irish ex-pats. Consequently, the shops, bars and restaurants in this area originate from many nationalities to provide food to suit all tastes - from the native Spanish to Italian, French, German, Chinese, Indian, Korean, Scandinavian, Argentinean, Hungarian, Mexican cuisine, etc.

400 metres to the cliffs. Sea can be viewed from front door. Less than 1 km to the beach at Punta Prima or Playa Flamenca. The EU Blue Flag beaches at Playa Flamenca and La Zenia have vast expanses of golden sands and there are jet-ski's, a banana boat and pedalo's in the summer months, as well as the usual "bars on the beach".

400 metres to the well known Flamenca Beach Commercial centre (largest in South Costa Blanca) with the Lansdowne bar, Rosie O'Grady's, the Blues Brothers, Divas Indian restaurant, Spud Murphies and 3 floors of bars and restaurants. Adjacent to that centre is the new Supercor supermarket - the "Harrods" food hall of Spain - banks, etc. Nearby are the Mercadona, Lidl and Carrefour supermarkets (Playa de Orihuela); smaller version of the hypermarket in Torrevieja. Nearby go-kart track for all ages (3 circuits).

Less than 5 minutes walk from 2 other new commercial centres with a range of bars and restaurants.

20 minutes walk of the Celtic Isle Irish entertainment centre with own swimming pool, bars and restaurant and also the popular Saturday morning market.

20 minutes walk from Via Park 1, Via Park 2, Via Park 3 commercial centres.

10 minutes drive, or 7 km to Torrevieja town centre, marina, harbour, Carrefour, Habernas shopping centre (H&M, C&A, Zara, etc), McDonalds, ten pin bowling, casino, etc.

There is a popular market on every Saturday morning in a wide road in nearby Playa Flamenca - within walking distance.

10 minutes drive, or 6km to Torrevieja town centre, marina, harbour, Carrefour, Habernas shopping centre (H&M, C&A, Zara, etc), McDonalds, ten pin bowling, casino, etc.

Nearby bus service into Torrevieja town or various taxi ranks throughout the area.

It is only a 10 minutes drive to golf courses of Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas.

Sports: Golf, cycling, diving, fishing, horse riding, paragliding, roller blading, sailing, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, water skiing, wind-surfing, ten-pin bowling, jet ski, scuba diving, aqua park, sports complex, go-karting.
