If a swimming pool is a necessity, have a look at what we have available.

Question - Is the pool usable in the winter?

Answer - it will probably be usable but will be very cold. A friend of ours went in on Christmas Day (for a bet) but was out in 10 seconds. We generally do not use unheated pool between October and April.

Aquapark in Torrevieja. Offers fun activities for the whole family to enjoy: river rapids, kamikaze slides, wave machine, hydro massage, gentle water slides, swimming pool, etc, but it is only open early June to early September. Website at http://www.aquopolis.es/torrevieja/.

Flamingo MIni Aqua Park - Go past the main Carrefour and McDonalds on the CV905 (Crevillente Road) towards the motorway. At the second roundabout past Carrefour, turn right (signed Urbanisation La Siesta). Past the garage turn left then (about 20 metres) turn right. Then next right will bring you to the Flamingo Water Park. Parking is outside and free. I think it opens at 11.00 am.
A really good park for younger kids with small pools plus a couple of slides for older ones. Also fairly cheap (was 8 euros in 2008). They do have a webpage ( http://www.aquaparkflamingo.com/ ) which gives all the details.

Quesada Water Park - Go past the main Carrefour and McDonalds on the CV905 (Crevillente Road) towards the motorway and turn off at Quesada. Go through the arches and about 400 yards up on the left the road splits by a bank. Go left and follow the signs to Aquapark. Parking is free and they don't mind you taking in cool boxes with drinks and snacks etc. or your own chairs. No glass bottles allowed, though, only cans and plastic ones. Good for all ages with a few good slides as well as smaller pools for the kids. ( http://www.valenciatrader.com/valencia/ ... swaterpark)
Comment July 2009 - Went to the waterpark in Quesada last week and would now never go to the one in Torrevieja!! It is sooooo much cheaper, we paid E34 for 4 of us, Torrevieja would have been nearly E80! We had a great day, took a picnic (which you are not allowed to do at Torrevieja!! So u have to buy their outragously priced food) The queues were small and that was with 3 coaches of kids from a summer school.

Please note that the usable times of the year for communal pool does vary dependent on the Community of Owners requirements and therefore we are unable to guarantee that a pool is fully usable regards chemical treatment or water level at any particular time of the year. All pool have opening and closing times and a few in Spanish run communities are not available during the afternoon siesta period or during certain times of the year. In the high season, owners are often using their own properties and obviously want to use the pool that they paid for when they bought the property. Sometimes Spanish run communities empty the pool of water from November to June but the majority of our properties are run by multi-European communities who want the pool usable all year. By Spanish law, pool have rules and conditions of use (displayed on a notice board in the pool area) which must be obeyed. We accept no responsibility if renters are expelled from pool areas by community representatives due to disobeying the rules. All pool are not heated unless stated otherwise.
